We've updated ClueMe! Now, once you've created a gem, you can lock/unlock its position. Simply click on the gem, and then click on the lock/unlock link.

      26 Jun 2014
We've increased the picture upload size from 4MB to 10MB.  We recommend uploading pictures that are 4MB or less so that they load more quickly when the Gem is viewed.  We're looking into the possibility of having Clue Me! automatically resize pictures once they're uploaded.

      Fixes!
      • FIXED:  Some pictures render sideways or upside down in certain browsers.
      • FIXED:  After adding a gem, the fields on the Add Gem page aren't cleared.  When you go to add another gem, you'll see the information for the gem you previously added.
      • FIXED:  "What makes this Gem interesting?" is truncated at 300 characters when adding a new Gem.  Should allow for 500 characters.

We're excited to launch the Clue Me! beta.  We're still ironing out a few kinks, and we have plenty of features lined up.

      Known Issues
      • None at this time. Let us know if you see any bugs, so we can squash 'em!

      Future Enhancements
      • Social features - we have in mind a number of features that will give Clue Me! users the ability to share information about their Clue Me! experience with other users.  For example, you'll be able to comment on other users' gems.  You'll also be able to flag the gems that you've found.  With those features implemented, we'll be able to do fun things... like posting information about who has found the most gems.  Lots of fun lies ahead!
      • And many more!  With your feedback, we're certain we can make Clue Me! even more enjoyable for everyone!

      Introduction
Clue Me! is part game, part travel guide.  Whether you're on vacation, or just checking out the local sites, You can launch Clue Me! on your smartphone, tablet, or notebook to see the unique "Gems" that others have found, and add your own Gems to the Clue Me! map.

      The Map
The main page in Clue Me! is the map.  On the map, you'll see markers that represent Gems -- unique and interesting things that others have discovered in their travels.  On the map page, there are two buttons - one in the upper-left corner to display this Help page, and another in the upper-right corner to display a menu of options.  More information about the menu options can be found below.

      Gems
When a Gem is created, it has 4 components:  the Clue, the Description, Why It's Interesting, and a photo.  When you tap on a Gem on the map, the Clue is diplayed first - this allows you to try to find/identify the Gem based on the clue.  Once you've found the Gem, or if you give up and just want to get to the good stuff, you can click on the details button, and you'll see all the information about the Gem, including the photo.

Gems are represented by various colored markers on the map.
The green marker represents a Gem that has been added by another user and validated by Skooblevart.  (We check to make sure that the Gem meets certain standards -- no naughty words or pictures, no advertising, etc.)
The blue marker represents a Gem that you created, and that has been validated.  Others will see these Gems as green, but you'll see them as blue so you can quickly identify your own Gems.
After you add a Gem, and before it's validated, it appears in red.  When a Gem is red, you can drag it to exactly where you want it on the map.  Once it's validated, it will turn blue.  Until it's validated, the Gem will only appear on your map - others won't be able to see it.

Note:  Until you've signed in to Clue Me!, all Gems will appear as green markers.  After you've signed in, that's when you'll see the red and blue Gem markers.

Menu Options (currently under construction - check back soon!)
